Rolwaling Trekking in Nepal
Between Everest and Langtang regions liesthe stunning mid-Eastern range of the Himalayas; the Rolwaling valley has got lots of things to offer- romantic mountain views, diverse flora and fauna and rich Sherpa culture. Sherpas are indispensible part of mountaineering and trekking. This valley is home to Mt. Gauri Shankar (7134m), Dorje Lakpa, and many other mountains and Tso Rolpa lake and Bigu Gompa which housed more than three hundred nuns.
Rolwalling trek to Rollwaling Himal, west of Everest and near the Tibetan border, offers fascinating experience. This trek reaches to stunning height of 5755m. Trek could take about 17- 23 days depending upon the route we take. This is one of strenuous treks. Becuase of its remoteness, any means of communication are rarely available.
Day 01 Kathmandu - Charikot (1998m)- Ratmate by bus.
Day 02 Ratmate - Bagar
Day 03 Bagar - Jagat
Day 04 Jagat - Simi goun
Day 05 Simi goun - Yak kharka
Day 06 Yak khark - Beding 3693m.
Day 07 Beding - Na 4183m.
Day 08 Na rest for acclimatization
Day 09 Na - Chho Rolpa lake
Day 10 Chho Rolpa Lake - Glacier
Day 11 Glacier - Tashilapcha pass 5755m. - Pachherma BC
Day 12 Pachherpa - Thame 3800m
Day 13 Thame rest
Day 14 Thame - Namache Bazzar 3446m.
Day 15 Namche - Phakding
Day 16 Phakding to Lukla 2886m
Day 17 Lukla - Kathmandu.
