Sikkim is landlocked state of India bordering Tibet. It was separate kingdom before it became integral part of India in 1975. This is the least populated state of densely populated India. Sikkim is a popular tourist destination for its culture, scenic beauty and bio diversity. Sikkim is geographically diverse and located at the lap of himalayan range. With its pristine and un-spoilt natural beauty and peace loving people, Sikkim offers you a truly unique visitor experience.Main inhabitants of this tiny himalayan state are Nepali, Lepcha, Bhutia and Limbu. Trip Itinerary

Day 01 Kathmandu - Bhadrapur (flight)
Once you reach in Bhadrapur, we head for Gangtok which is about seven hours drive. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 02 Gangtok
After breakfast, we go for sightseeing in Gangtok. This includes visit to Enchey Monastery, Deer Park, Government institute of Cottage Industry, Dodrul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology. Then we come back to hotel and after lunch we visit magnificent Rumtek Monastery. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 03 Gangtok-Lanchung
Early in the morning we head for Lachung, small but beautiful village in north of the Sikkim which takes about six hours.The picturesque mountain village of Lachung, at a height of 8610 ft, embraced by snow capped mountain peaks, breathtaking waterfalls, sparkling streams and apple orchards is the perfect holiday destination.

Day 04 Lachung-Yumthang-Lachung
Just after the breakfast, we head for Yumthang which lies at 24 Kms from Lachung.The journey from Lachung to Yumthang has a very picturesque landscape and is lined with Rhododendrons & 108 other types of Orchids which bloom in different colors from April to May. This place is also called the valley of flowers. In blooming seasons. Blossoming Rhododendrons, chimals and blue poppies make this place romantic. After the trip, we drive back to Lachung and spend rest of the sightseeing. Over night stay in hotel at Lachung.

Day 05 Lachung-Gangtok
Form lachung, we head back to Gangtok. And spend day and night here. Drive back to Gangtok.

Day 06 Gangtok-Pemayangtse
After breakfast, we drive to pemayangtse Monastery, situated at 7200ft, through lovely villages and Pelling.Pemayangtse Monastery the premier monastery in Sikkim. It is the oldest monastery here and houses priceless thangkas, icons, Buddhist texts and paintings. and frescos. Built on the 18th century AD, this monastery follows the Nyingmapa sect of the Tibetan Buddhism. On the top floor of the temple, there lies the Architectural Design of Heaven called the Zangdoplari. It's a masterpiece art crafted single handedly out of wood by the late Dungzim Rimponche and photography is prohibited. The walls of this area is hundreds of years old and are original and on vegetable paintings. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 07 Pemayangtse-Khecheopalri Lake-Pemayangtse
After breakfast, we head for Khecheopalri Lake.This lake is also known as the wishing lake. This unusually tranquil lake, surrounded by verdant forest is considered as one of the sacred lakes of Sikkim both by the Buddhist and the Hindus and no water sport or other activities besides prayers are allowed around it. It is believed that birds do not permit even a single leaf to float on the lake surface. The vicinity of the lake is an ideal place to find the Lepcha Houses and their communities. In the afternoon, take a short walk to Sangacholing Monastery (2km/45min) located on a hillock above the hotel. We drive back to Pemayangtse and spend our night here.

Day 08 Pemayangtse-Kalimpong (133 kms/5hrs)
After breakfast, we head for Kalimpong which is about 86 miles from Penayangtse. Full day sightseeing in and around Kalimpong.

Day 09 Departure
Kalimpong-Bhadrapur- Kathmandu.
