Marshyangdi River Rafting
This rafting trip is popular among rafters who also want to do round Annapurna trek as it can be done just after this trip and enjoy the rafting as well. Beginning point of the trip is Ngadi (Lamjung) which is about a day trek away from Besisahar. You will see beautiful local villages on both sides of this river. This adventurous river is classed 4-5 grade. Finishing point of this river is Bimalnagar, near Marshyangdi Hydro-electric project.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01: At around 07:00, we meet at our office and go for breakfast. After breakfast, we leave for Beshisahar by bus which normally takes about seven hours. We spend overnight at hotel in Besisahar.
Day 02: We head for Khudi, the starting point of our trip. Its about two and half hours walk. We set up our camp there. We leave one of our guides to look after our gears and we head for an hours short trek to Bhulbhule. As in other rafting trips , our guides will give you some essential information on health and safety related issues and what you should be doing while you are on the water. We spend our night in Khudi.
Day 03: After breakfast, We walk up to place called Ngadi - the starting point of this trip. As soon as you enter river, the real struggle with river begins take its momentum. Be aware, continuous grade four rapids may take your breath away. When we reach Besisahar, we call it a day.
Day 04: To get rid of last few days’ ups and down, we need to rest. It won’t be waste of time though. Beautiful Himalayas, tourist heading for different destinations , beautiful villages, people and their way of life will make your day memorable.
Day 05: The River and it’s music become less charismatic. But you will be going through similar circumstances as in the past few days. Just after midday, we reach Bimalnagar where this trip comes to an end. From this point, we drive back to Kathmandu/Pokahara.
